BARKing Points

Note: BARKing Points is a blog of LandArbor’s musings, observations, and discoveries.

Biologically speaking, is there a difference between indiscriminate tree topping and carefully tipping back each limb to a side branch?  Wounds are wounds, right?  Aren’t all wounds the same?

How did trees ever survive/evolve for millions of years without “help” from humans and their cutting tools (i.e., chainsaws)?  How often do arborists “help” trees to death by making unnecessary wounds?
